IBADAT- Love Reincarnated, PART 7

IBADAT
Love Reincarnated

PART 7

Next day when Shasha found out that the presentation clients chose was not hers, she interrogated the entire staff but she didn’t find anything. Nobody supported her. Why would they? She was arrogant n complete tyrant. There was not a single soul who liked her.

Two eyes looked through the blinds. But this time the eyes were of Maan watching Geet. Like always he was sitting in his cabin staring at nothing in particular that’s when his eyes drifted to her. She had come to Pari n was talking to her animatedly.

As she moved her head her jhumke dangled teasing her soft cheeks. Her hair were tied in tight plates like always still some bangs managed to escape n were flowing with the slight breeze. He looked at her hands which made unknown yet fascinating patterns in air as she talked. His pulse quickened without his very knowledge n eyes again wandered to her face where her pink rosy lips moved as fast as his heart beat.

In a blink he came out of his reverie n turned his gaze. Something was totally wrong, what was he doing? It’s been long since he noticed a girl; girl is a far away thing he didn’t even notice his life lately n here he was drooling over his employee. How could he? How could he betray her? She left him but it doesn’t mean he would commit something so low.

When the conversation ended it was time for Geet to go back to her cabin but she didn’t went back before glancing towards his cabin n then left with a dreamy sigh unknown to the turmoil that was clouding on the other side of the blinds.

The whole afternoon went like this, Maan cursing himself. Though the reason may not be that big but his depressed mind needed something to mourn over. He didn’t recognize the ocean of happiness yet not a single drop of grief escaped his mind.

Rolling the paper weight his eyes went to the paper knife resting with all its grandeur on the neat sheet of paper screaming for his attention n at that moment it seemed to him like god’s gift to end all the misery. It was the easy way out, the only way out.

He was tired now, there comes a time when you are alone in the big world. There are people all around but no one’s for you. You want to talk, all the pent up emotions hammer the insides with the desire to come out. You want to cry n scream n hug someone but you can’t because in the crowd of millions you know not a single soul understands. That’s the moment when death appears so much more familiar n appealing than the unwanted, lonely life.

Without wasting a moment he picked up the paper knife n absently flipped it open. The edge was sharp n shinny. He wanted to know if it worked, if it would be able to cut through the supple, delicate flesh. How would it feel when it would strike against skin making it bleed red?

He made a gash on the tip of his index finger. Crimson blood rushed out n it didn’t hurt even a bit in fact felt good n enormously right. Now he wanted it more, he wanted more blood. There was that urge to see how much blood one needed to lose to die. The knife moved towards his wrist where he knew beneath the skin was rushing his life, he wanted to break that line n free himself forever.

Maan sir... The faint sound reached his ear but he didn’t cared one cut n few minutes after that everything would be over.

App kar kya rahe hai? Geet snatched the knife throwing it on floor n taking his finger into her mouth. It took a moment for him to come back to the reality n bizarre enough her first touch felt was even better than that feel of sharp edge cutting him. The lips he was fascinating few hours ago were now around his skin while he felt his finger pad being touched by her touch as her mouth slowly sucked the cut to close.

Koi aisa karta hai kya? She half screamed half cried, her chest heaving up down as if she was the one committing suicide.

She kept speaking; some words registered in his dazed brain some just flew over his head. Finally she quit blabbering like an idiot because he was barely listening.

He saw her moving out then coming back in record time with a band aid in hand. Carefully she plastered the band aid over the cut. Then picked up the paper knife from the floor n checked all the drawers if there was anything else sharp. She collected the blades n the other paper knife.

Now you won’t be having anything sharp with you. Saying she left his cabin closing the door not so gently.

Maan smiled at her absurd declaration what does she thinks, he won’t get anything sharp if he wanted to or only sharp things will render his purpose.
_________________________________________________

Everyone was gone but she wasn’t the mere reason being he was still there n she didn’t wanted to leave him alone. God knows what goes on in that brains of his n so she decided not to trust him n remain around as much as she could.

All her work was done n now she was getting damn bored. Soon her eyes became heavy n unknowingly she drifted into sleep.

He was heading home when he found the lights on in a cabin.

This girl is definitely mad. He thought ignoring the big insanity he was doing himself earlier. What was she doing here at this time? Didn’t she get any other place to sleep?

Initially with a view of waking her, he moved closer but as a light gush blew in from the window making her untamed locks dance over her face, perhaps that’s when he lost all rationality or maybe it was when he felt that soft, calm breath of hers on his face when he bent down. His mind wavered into a totally different direction n he had to admit she looked totally innocent n flawless while asleep not like she was any less when awake just he didn’t got the chance to observe her so closely then.

Pushing the bangs behind when he slightly caressed her cheeks with knuckles, his chest tightened. Her skin was so delicate n surreal that he thought she would disappear in the next blink. The knowledge was almost scary, the effect she was starting to make on him. She made him forget everything, like a breath of fresh air she wiped the bad thoughts off his mind filling it with something unknown, something new.

His fingers strayed to her ears then trailed its way down slowly to her lips which were as silky as they appeared, provoking him inside out. The flutter of her eyes made him jerk back n knock the desk behind.

Again he was doing it. What has gotten into him? He was betraying her? His mind repeated endlessly like a broken record.

Geet blinked her eyes to grasp her surrounding after the sleep. Wo I am sorry Maan Sir. Meri ankh lag gai thi. As soon her eyes met his shaken ones he left the room in haste.

What was that? She wondered n left for home, disturbed but mainly concerned.

When she reached home engrossed in her thoughts her mind went into frenzy, something was utterly wrong. She knew it somehow.

Geet tu kya kar rai hai. Pinky asked.

Packing.

That I can see. But why? You are going back home. She asked shocked n frustrated. God! This girl is so unpredictable.

No. Geet turned finishing with her short-notice packing. I am going to live with Maan Sir.

W-what? Pinky asked eyes popping out of the sockets. That’s great. Walk over the world n do whatever you want. She said with a grown. Did he ask you to live with him?

No. He doesn’t know as of now.

Should I call the hospital because you surely now need some medical assistance. He doesn’t know that you are going to live with him. What if he shoves you out n suppose if he agrees, you will stay with a stranger?

He is no stranger. Geet snapped.

OKAY! You will stay with your ‘boss’? Is that the apt word?

They both stood still letting the silence do all the talking n stared into each other eyes throwing invisible daggers. After few moments of the cold war Geet let out a huff knowing Pinky was nothing but worried for her.

Please Pinky you don’t know what happened in office. He needs me. His is alone. She said in a calmer tone. Pari told me he lives by himself n I’ll somehow convince him to keep me.

Ignoring the 'keep me' that Geet used as if she was homeless, Pinky jumped onto the more relevent thing. What about your family? She blatantly used her next weapon.

They won’t know.

Don’t you think you are cheating on them?

It seems wrong but I know nothing is more right. I won’t do anything to degrade my family at the same time I can’t leave him also. I can go to any extent for him.

Eventually Pinky agreed. No use trying to talk Geet out once she decided on something. She was on a mission n exactly knew the destination so Pinky had to give her consent as if it mattered anymore knowing well only the name ‘MAAN’ mattered to Geet now.

IBADAT- Love Reincarnated, PART 6

IBADAT
Love Reincarnated

PART 6

Ji. Well I want to ask you something. Geet hesitated. Don’t you think this whole presentation is... aaa... She searched for the right word. Immature.

Everyone gaped at Geet n then Shasha with their jaw dropped open. Never once anyone had the galls to say something against Shasha, n here she almost dropped a bum.

Ms. Handa.... Shasha blasted. Now I have to learn from you that how to make a presentation. She shouted on top of her voice, seething in anger.

But Ma’am I was just...

Shut up! I have given years to this company n I know what’s right n what’s wrong.

Adi signalled Geet to sit down knowing there was no point arguing with Shasha. Geet sat down quietly obeying Adi as she also got a little scared with the sudden outburst of Shasha.

It’s not something new Geet. This story gets repeated every time there comes a new project. Adi informed. Tomorrow three more companies other than KC will give their presentation before the clients n we will surely loose this project like always.

But how can Shasha Ma’am make such mistakes? Even the designs were so simple. Geet asked.

They were no mistakes she does it deliberately. Pari supplied.

But why? Geet demanded, unbelievingly.

I don’t know but she has good connections with Manish, MD of Mehra n Sons. May be it’s all fixed. You know dirty games of the big corporate world.

Pari we can’t say anything without concrete proof. Adi said, not completely denying but not accepting either.

But I find no other reason. Pari concluded as a matter of fact.

Why Maan Sir don't do anything? Geet asked.

He believes Shasha plus he just approves the presentation n never looks into it. Ravi Sir, Maan Sir’s father, used to look into everything minutely. He was a business mastermind. At that time Maan Sir was also attentive. After Ravi Sir’s death everything changed n what changed the most was Maan Sir. Adi told sadly.

Well Adi Sir it won’t happen again tomorrow we’ll fetch this project into our kitty. Geet knew this project was important n she tried to sound as much confident as she could but she herself was not sure how much successful she was going to be, but she certainly couldn’t sit quietly. Could she? Specially now when they desperately needed few good tenders to keep the spine straight of KC.

At night when Pinky entered Geet’s room, she found her sitting between huge piles of paper, working on her lap top.

What is all this mess? Pinky screamed with her eyes popping out.

Nothing just preparing for a presentation.

It’s not ‘nothing’ darling. If you want I can help. Pinky offered like a good friend although she didn’t even know A of Architecture.

Geet gave her a quizzical look. I think I should go n sleep. Pinky said giving a faint smile.

That would be the best help. Geet chuckled while Pinky rolled her eyes n walked out.

Chal Geet back to work. She said to herself n started working again. In her last year of Architecture she had done internship in one the best companies of London, they were ready to hire her on permanent basis but she denied because of her family. But that internship was paying now may be her presentation wouldn’t be best but at least it would be better than the previous.

Adi had availed her with all the necessary information despite being sure that she wouldn’t be able to accomplish the task in just one night but it was the only thing he could do. KC was like his second home n he wanted to help Maan.

Geet worked all night without taking the tiniest nap. She didn’t realised when the morning sun knocked on her window. Once satisfied, she changed n without bothering about bath or breakfast left for office.

She handed the CD, blueprints n other requisites to Adi for the presentation while he looked at her as if she was some unidentified creature.

H...how did you do it? In one night, all alone.

Because I actually wanted to. Geet said, she looked tired but her smile did well to shadow it to an extent. Waise Adi Sir it’s not complete. These are just basic plan n design.

Okay. Adi smiled. If the idea was good n innovative the clients could overlook that it was unfinished.

Now we have to replace these with the original ones.

That’s not a tough task. Shasha never goes for any presentation herself least she wants to spoil her image with such low class work. She is staying in KC with the excuse of some foreign delegates coming so I am going with some interns for this presentation.

Should I come?

No that would give rise to suspicion on you.

Hmm thik hai. Adi turned to proceed with the plan. Adi Sir... He stopped. Thank you for believing in me.

Adi smiled. It’s the least I could do.

After the delegates had left, Shasha n Maan were discussing something in Maan’s cabin. Well more like Shasha speaking n Maan pretending to be listening.

Maan Sir... Geet shouted, entering his cabin like storm.

Ms. Geet Handa, do I need to teach you basic etiquettes now? Don’t you know that you should knock before entering someone’s cabin? Shasha scolded.

Sorry Ma’am. Geet said without paying much heed to her hissing n screaming she was too happy to notice that. Sir you know what, we got the deal.

It was the like the floor slipped beneath her feet. To say Shasha was shocked would be an understatement.

Adi Sir just called n he said the clients were quite impressed by our presentation. Geet said this eyeing Shasha n enjoyed the look of total flummox on her face.

Next moment Shasha excused herself n left the room.

Good. Maan stated with a bland smile trying to match Geet’s enthusiasm but in reality the news didn’t amused him even a bit. These deals or some hike in business could do nothing to bring back his life on track. He was ruined n could care less about all these materialistic successes or other bullshits.

Geet moved closer to him. Maan Sir you are not happy? She asked with a frown on her face.

Of course I am. He lied not looking into her eyes. It was enough to tell her the truth. Her face lost its colours. She worked so hard all night, but what was the use when she was unable to bring a real smile on his face. She walked out quietly n Maan felt bad seeing her gloomy face. Nevertheless the question was when his happiness started mattering. May be when a girl unconditionally fell for him but he was so preoccupied or blinded by his own thoughts n torments that the sparkle of life in front went unnoticed.

I don’t know how it happened. Shasha miserably held her head while the other hand holding the phone was shaking, either with fear or due to failure.

Shasha I thought I can trust you. But you disappointed me.

Manish I had it all set. I.. I don’t know how the clients approved of the designs.

N rejected ours. Minish completed rather angry. Love, remember its business n I don’t tolerate anyone screwing up my plans.

The threat in his tone made her flinch. I am sorry. I won’t let it happ... But before she could complete he hung up.

‘I won’t let it’ what? Shasha Ma’am. Geet asked from behind making Shasha jump but she composed herself.

None of your business Ms. Handa. Shasha said clearing her throat. Anyways I didn’t call you.

Surely you didn’t. I just came to give you this. She offered her the sweets. After all it was your hard work that got us through.

Yeah... Shasha responded picking a small piece from the box. Now if you don’t mind I have work to do.

Do as much work as you want because soon you are going to get fired. Geet thought, Pari was indeed right n the last thing KC needed were back stabbers.

IBADAT- Love Reincarnated, PART 5

IBADAT
Love Reincarnated

Sorry for late update as I told earlier it was due an accidentOuch

PART 5

She stood outside KC wearing a red salwar suit. Red, the colour of love n she had deliberately chosen it. Stepping inside the building she promised herself to take away all the sorrows that were bothering him n fill his life with happiness n love, her love.

Adi introduced Geet to the interns n showed her cabin. She met Pari, Maan’s secretary n gelled well with her to which she was thankful as she could dig out about his likes n dislikes from her.

She then scolded herself for being so selfish but now a day’s her heart was not in her control. All her thought started from him n ended on him. She had started connecting everything to him only, whatever she did was done with his thoughts in mind.

Once getting familiar with the work environment she went to see Maan, peeking from the window, like always he was lost in another world. Just then she saw the peon coming towards his cabin.

Bhaiya yeh coffee Maan Sir ke liye hai. She asked with a big smile on her face.

Ji Madam.

Mai jabse aayi hu dekh rai hu aap kitna kaam kar rahe hai. She said with concern.

Ab kya bataye Madam, kaam toh karna hi padta hai.

Hmm... Geet gave him a sorry look. Lekin kamaal hai na, itna kaam karne ke liye bhi toh stamina chahiye.

Arre ab app toh... He shied with her appreciation.

Arre kya.... Ek kaam kariye aap thoda araam kar lijiye, mai Maan sir ko yeh coffee de dungi. She said taking the cup from him.

Par...

Par war kuch aap itna zayada kaam karenge toh kaise chalega.. huh? Aap jaiye mai yeh de dungi.

Though little apprehensive he agreed n left.

Geet tasted the coffee n made yuck face. Chee... kitni kadwi hai... Then paused. Par itni buri bhi nai, after all unki ki pasand hai.

She drank the whole of it n went to pantry to make him a fresh cup.

___________________________________

Hmm... Was all Maan replied to the knock on his door. She entered n he looked up surprised. So Adi hired you?

Sir you only signed my appointment letter. Geet told him amazed that he didn’t even noticed the papers he signed.

Oh...

Your coffee. She offered starting the conversation again.

Why have you brought it? Maan knotted his brows. Where is Ramesh?

He was on the way but someone called him so I asked him to give it to me otherwise it would have got cold. She stated thinking instead of architect she should have taken law as a profession as she was a pretty good liar.

Taking the coffee from her he took a sip while she noticed his M shaped lips, his expressive eyes holding thousands of untold emotions. She shied thinking about his well toned body that was quite prominent through the crisp white shirt he was wearing.

Maan looked at her as if asking the reason of her presence. Of course she couldn’t tell him that she was waiting to know if he liked the coffee or not. Finally finding no other option she turned to leave making a baby face.

Geet

She stopped enchanted by her own name. Ji. Without her turning, came the reply.
Ramesh se kehna ke coffee acchi thi.

If in her control she would have just hugged him there n then.

Har su samandar, khoi kashti hu mai
Teri pukaar meri manzil ka ujala,
tera har ek lavz hasti hai meri

Ji.. She nodded n left while Maan wondered the reason for the bright smile that adorned her face.

The day went like this, Geet finding ways to wander around Maan’s cabin while Maan had this constant feeling of being watched which was indeed true.

Next day,

Hello I am Shasha, the head architect. Shasha pompously introduced herself to the interns in the conference room.

Once everyone was settled she started her presentation n Geet wondered where Maan was.

Adi Sir, Maan Sir kahan hai? Geet whispered to the man in specs sitting beside her.

Maan Sir has informed that he won’t come today. Adi answered adjusting his glasses.
Geet pouted but then decided to concentrate on Shasha’s presentation.

While Geet observed the presentation n looked into the blue prints that were neatly kept in front of her in a yellow file, she discovered many flaws in the whole thing.

She was amazed as well as confused. Shasha was the head architect n way too experienced to make these type of silly slip-ups plus. It was a very important project that was to be presented the very next day to the clients n with this presentation they were surely going to lose it. The market was bustling with competition n there was no space for any inaccuracy then this work by Shasha’s was crammed with gaffes.

Excuse me Ma’am... Geet’s voice interrupted Shasha.

Yes... Shasha said. If I am not mistaking, Geet Handa. Right?

Ji. Well I want to ask you something. Geet hesitated. Don’t you think this whole presentation is... aaa... She searched for the right word. Immature.
