IBADAT- Love Reincarnated, PART 12

IBADAT
Love Reincarnate

PART 12

She looked at him with teary eyes, not able to believe he slapped her.

Her chin trembled in indication of the coming tears while her eyes accused him. His hand was still in mid air when Geet ran away. Maya smiled slyly then shaking her head she also left from there.

It was tough... tough to accept as true of what he just did to her then how was he supposed to cope with the weight of it. Retrieving his hand back from the awkward position in air, he felt disgust sweeping in. He hit her, he actually hit Geet.

Don’t know what came into his mind but he did. Her questioning n hurt face played across his mind and he ran the hand through his hair then banged it on the wall. The skin got scraped with chunks of plaster stuck over the tiny blood oozing scratches still... still the filthy hand hung uselessly along his shoulder.

Everything was like a damn dream lately but his past had to interfere. Maya had to come to ruin it all, not like he needed someone for this particular task; he himself was self sufficient for that. That was why he slapped her.

Never, in his entire life he raised hand on a woman n here he slapped Geet, his Geet. Now he was not sure if he anymore had the right to call her his. He was ashamed of his act.

It had all happened so fast, like a movie rapidly moving in fast forward. He was happy, no matter how unbelievable it may sound. But was he expecting it to last? Yes n that was the biggest fault.

Destiny, fate, god or whatever force ran the world was against him. He surely felt something for Geet n somewhere he was accepting it fighting with himself. Then Maya had to step in, why? When she had left him for that so called successful man, currently her  husband, why she came now?

She so easily reminded him of his promise making him doubtful if she ever loved him. It seemed she never knew him actually. Yes when she was leaving him he had said he would never be able to fall in love again. That time he didn’t knew Geet.

So what he started feeling again, living again? It was not his fault. He was not stone, when a girl no not a girl but a real angel would shower her care, attention over someone as useless n alone as him, how could he not fall for her. How??

Still he had tried to stay away, to ignore, to keep the wall around intact, but failed... here too. Geet was strong n he weak.

But for what reason it bothered Maya. She was all settled with her husband, her dad was there, happy n proud. Why the orphan, the-then failure Maan Singh Khurana mattered now? N how dare she accuse him of betrayal, awakening the guilt.

His mom-dad had died a year ago in a car accident; it resulted in the fall in business of KC... the people who had claimed to be trustful n friends snatched their hands back. His grandma was in shock, she was a heart patient.

Fighting against the odds he tried to build the business back but when after 6 months his parents death, his grandma died, he lost all hope. That time he had needed Maya, they were engaged but instead of becoming his strength she pushed him deeper into misery n did what her dad asked, married someone else.

That time he had literally begged her because he loved her but she had become deaf to his pleads. The man Geet had first found him to be was result of harshness of life n Maya was the last whip.
Yes for a moment he felt guilty n then anger surfaced... sheer anger over Maya n himself but he was not angry on Geet nevertheless she had to endure the weight of his fury.

But he actually hadn’t meant to hurt her. A tear slid out from his eye not because he was feeling bad but because she was so happy at the party n the state she left in was just the opposite, only because of him.

Really he hadn’t wanted to do that... It was the anger meant for Maya n god, it was frustration over months of soreness, the pain for being called a failure n jinxed from a person who once meant the world to him in front of the one who looked at him like he was some hero.

The rage which was encaged since ages rushed out with Maya accusation n should have also directed towards her but he didn’t have any right on her. Did he? She was someone else wife neither was she his friend anymore. Geet was there n he poured it all on her.

He was such a disgrace.

He rubbed his face n another feeling touched his skin. This one made him shiver creating a tense tug in his stomach. It was fear.

What if Geet left him... too. After his mom-dad, Dadimaa n alleged love-Maya, would he be able to afford Geet’s loss.

Geet... He called entering the dark hall of empty KM.

He eyes searched the surrounding n then climbing the stairs he went into Geet’s room. Things were lying everywhere haphazardly n her cupboard was open, vacant.

Maan wobbly legs gave up n he collapsed on his knees, defeated, devasted-once more n this time he felt worse because this time it was actually his fault.

There was still a distant ray of hope may be she wouldn’t have gone far, Maan ran towards the stairs n came down. He almost dashed outside but his eyes caught the sight of the girl sitting on the sofa.

Geet raised her head n Maan looked at her bewildered, not sure if she was actually there because she wasn’t there when he had gone up to her room. Then he saw her bag on the floor n finally noticed her condition red eyes n tear stained face.... she looked all messed up.

She stood up as if the weight of whole world was on her small shoulders. Was that embarrassment on her face?

Wo... She croaked, her own voice unrecognizable to the ears. She cleared her choked throat n started again, never before she felt so short of words, speaking used to be her forte.
Wo mai jaa rai thi... She nervously pointed towards the door like he didn’t know where it was. Par mai jaa nai payi... The end was unclear due to the muffled cry but Maan understood it unmistakably.

When Geet came back from the hotel she immediately packed her cloths n left.
No one in her family ever raised their hand on her, she was pampered to no ends n when Maan slapped it was numbing n she felt all her dreams drowning into nothingness. She had never expected something like this coming from the one she loved the most.

Shock n hurt made her blind, blind to her helplessness but visibility came into existence not very late. Just few blocks away from the mansion she realised what she was doing, she was going away from him which was suicide in itself.

Although she was now not sure if he felt something for her-assuming that she was so much in her own world that imagined that thing called love in his eyes-then too she couldn’t go away. All her life she was ready to spend being his employee.... she just needed his presence in whatever way possible, his one glimpse would be enough to pass the long days but she couldn’t stay apart, never.

Because being slapped was one thing but living without him was another.

So she crushed her self-respect under bare foot n came back.

Aap... mai kahin aur nai jaa sakti. She looked at him through tears n so couldn’t comprehend his expressions. Maan Sir mai kabhi aisa nai karungi. She cried wiping her nose. Mai beech me kabhi nai bolungi, I promise. Par mai kahin jaa nai sakti. She needed a good enough reason but nothing came to her mind so she opted for what she always did, uttered the truth.Mai aapke bine nai reh sakti Maan Sir. Mai kabhi kuch nai bolungi aur aapko pareshan bhi nai karungi.

Maan moved closer without her noticing, she was so busy in her rant, scared that he wouldn’t allow her to stay with him. She didn’t know her non-stop talks, her naughtiness; her pestering him was his life now.

I am sorry... aap mujhe nikalenge toh nai na? She asked. Her voice had the urgency n plead of a little girl.

Only when she looked up found she him so near, towering over her with his large frame. Their vision was blurred, they both were teary n they wanted the same thing.

Mujhe pata hota ke aap itna gussa ho jaoge toh mai kabhi aisa na karti. She said though unsure if she would have been able to control herself even then, his insult was something she couldn’t accept.

Her cheek bone had the faint mark of his fingertip, Maan stared at it. No tears were coming out but his heart was crying n screaming out to her.

Why was he not saying anything? Geet thought anxiously.

Aap chahe toh mujhe aur maar lijiye. She held his hand in hers n slapped her cheeks with his limp palms. Par mujhe ghar se mat nikaliye.

Geet... he stopped her surprisingly cupping her cheeks tenderly but his tears were more surprising to her. I am sorry.

His voice was a mere whisper but came as a huge relief to Geet, the tincture of his voice was not tainted with anger. Interestingly, he was never angry with her.

He thumbed her tears away n caressed the mark on her cheek bone; she flinched from the soreness n Maan kissed the place instinctively. Geet closed her eyes to savour the feel. This  was what she ‘wanted’ since the time she laid eyes upon him n right now ‘needed’ in this condition.

If Geet was craving for the proximity, Maan was no exception. Now when he finally let himself succumb to his heart, he felt so much at peace after ages... she was there with him n this was the best way to get assured of that. He kissed all over her cheek n it actually soothed the pain, if not externally, internally it did wonders.

His lips wandered from her cheeks to her whole face n Geet felt tingles running up n down her spine. Soon his closed mouthed innocent kisses intensified with little sucking n licking. He reached her lips n found her eyes closed, doubtful he was about the next step but stopping now was impossible. He wanted the feel of being loved again n without any further delay, his lips caught hers.

She almost squealed with happiness, the slap n insult forgotten long back. It was her first kiss n only the start was thousand times better than any of her imagination.

While Maan sucked on her lower lips tugging at it ever so gently n relishing her softness, Geet slowly opened her mouth n he appreciated the gesture.

His hand moved down to her hips n pushed her up to meet his fervour n Geet’s hands after caressing his shoulder moved towards his hairs where she threaded her fingers into his thick locks, pressing him closer.

The sensitive tip of their tongues met n Maan stroked her full length soon she accompanied him into the erotic dance; both etching each other’s sweet flavour into their minds. Maan didn’t want to rush the kiss; somehow he knew it was her first time. He drew back n she blinked rapidly, it should have lasted longer.

He smiled at her cute dazed expressions n Geet blushed a deep red thinking of the smile as something else. You were not wrong Geet n I was the one at fault; you can punish me in whatever way you want but don’t even think about leaving me...

Geet abruptly pecked his lips again. Actually she was not listening n was looking at the fascinating movement of his lips, remembering how expertly n exotically they moved against hers, it was surreal... to check the reality of the previous kiss she quickly pressed her lips to his again in a quick peck n... it was real.

Maan stared at her momentarily shocked n she hid her flushed face into his chest where he held her tightly in his strong embrace.

Geet mujhe maaf kar do. He apologised with a heavy heart, the memory of his deed coming back.

Aapko maafi maangne ki zaroorat nai. Still glued to him she raised her head to see his face. If a slap means you would kiss me later, I am ever ready for it. She confessed shyly but the notion made him uneasy. He made her feel like this, she didn’t have to be beaten up every time to get something from him.

He held by shoulder, gently pulling her back. You don’t need to pay for anything from me n I would never ever again raise my hand on you, that’s the promise of Maan Singh Khurana.

Hmm. She hummed again wrapping her arms around his torso n hugging him. It didn’t matter now that he had slapped her; they were together at the end of the day n that was what counted.

They were both content at least for some time because when Geet thought that the shortly aroused problems were sought out n now things were, thankfully, back to normal, a roaring voice rang through the poorly lit hall.

Geet... the word echoed n resounded a several times making Geet shiver with terror. She instantly pulled back n saw something she was certainly not prepared for.

Daarji looked at Geet with evident shame in his eyes where as Brij was shooting daggers at Maan with his fists tightly clenched.
